Windsor & Eton

Windsor and Eaton is the only Brewery in Royal Windsor and the owner / operator team are creating and producing stunning award-winning beers.

Brewing is our passion, it’s in our blood, it’s in our name too –!

Windsor ales were once famous amongst rich and poor alike. When Burge’s Brewery closed its doors in 1931, it brought to an end a tradition of Windsor brewing that had lasted for well over 300 years. On 23rd April 2010, St George’s Day, the Guardsman Best Bitter was on sale in pubs. Seventy-nine years after the closure of Windsor’s last brewery, beer was back! Our ambition is simple – to make Windsor famous again as a brewer of some of the finest and most talked about beers in the UK.

So why do we brew? Because we get to make beer that people love and because it’s a lot more fun than any other job we have done. We hope you have as much enjoyment discovering them as we have had making them.

Traditional cask brewing is a uniquely British institution and we have the vision and ambition to continue to make great traditional cask ales and have great fun on the way.

The beers from Windsor and Eaton are brewed with Royal Farm Barley and they are served at state and royal occasions such as Ascot and the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The beer has also been presented to the Pope by Her Majesty the Queen!
